Can you tell us something about Dutch School USA?
Dutch School USA specializes in online private Dutch language tutoring, offering personalized lessons for children (4+), teens, and adults at all levels across the United States. Founded in 2019 by Marlies Kempers (Dutch) and Olivia Simoen (Belgian American), the school brings over 30 years of educational expertise. Its deep knowledge of the American, Dutch, and Belgian educational systems sets it apart, making it the premier choice for Dutch learners in the U.S.
With a strong network spanning the U.S., Belgium, and the Netherlands, Dutch School USA provides access to the latest teaching methods, online platforms, expertise in IB programs and Dutch language exams like CNaVT. Whether students want to maintain their language skills for family connections, prepare for studies or work abroad, or embrace their heritage, they receive top-tier instruction tailored to their needs.
Why did you choose Texas to open the Dutch School?
Originally founded as Dutch School Houston, the school was created to fill a gap in accessible Dutch language education in central Houston. The shift to online learning during COVID led to rapid expansion, welcoming students and teachers from across the U.S. By 2025, the school rebranded as Dutch School USA, reflecting its nationwide reach while staying true to its Texas-sized ambition.
