NBSO Texas visited the port of Corpus Christi along with the City and the Port of Rotterdam and the economic agency Rotterdam Partners. The strong ties between these ports, both supported by their respective city and county representatives, has created many opportunities for companies with business activities on both sides of the Atlantic.
In light of the energy transition, the close alignment between the ports of Rotterdam and Corpus Christi, strongly supported by their MOU signed in 2021, is proving to be an accelerator for multiple companies for expanding operations in Texas. Specifically regarding the production, storage and transportation of renewable energy (carriers) and various innovative solutions that support these activities. The close presence of wind energy and Corpus Christi’s active commitment to supporting expansion of this renewable energy source and adaptation of the port for related activities play a major role in these developments.
