The Netherlands reconnects with Dallas-Fort Worth region

The Consul General of the Netherlands in Miami, Ruth Emmerink, together with our NBSO Chief Representative, Bee Kothuis, and Deputy Head of Mission in Miami Luuk Nijman, traveled to Dallas-FW to reconnect with the business ecosystem of North Texas.

On this occasion, they had the opportunity to visit to the facilities of the global security and aerospace company Lockheed Martin, where they were warmly welcomed by the NL F35 representation.

During the same visit, the delegation had successful meetings with representatives of the City of Dallas, North Texas Commission and Dallas Sports Commission, where they discussed future collaborations introducing Dutch Scale-ups and Start-ups, and connecting the extensive Dallas Sports ecosystem to the innovative Dutch SportsTech industry.

They also strengthened ties with the Dutch Honorary Consul in Dallas, Ms. Mabrie Jackson, during a business dinner with several Dutch companies in the region, such as ON2IT, KeijsersKoning Gallery, Network Republic, and the Dutch soccer club.

Finally, the executives were guided through the fabulous exhibition “Van Gogh and the Olive Groves” by curator Nicole Meyers at the Dallas Museum of Art. The exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, and is open to the public until February 6, 2022.
