On September 24 and 25, LifeBlood hosted its Houston MedTech Oktoberfest at Saint Arnold Brewing and Meow Wolf in Houston, a dynamic two-day gathering designed to fuse the energetic spirit of Bavarian festivity with deep conversations around MedTech innovation, investment, and collaboration.
This year’s event included a full agenda of panel discussions, CEO-only forums, networking opportunities, and social events, all curated to bring together founders, investors, corporate strategists, and ecosystem partners in the MedTech and health-tech space.
Relevance for the Life Sciences & Health Mission
For NBSO Texas, participating in Houston MedTech Oktoberfest was particularly meaningful given the upcoming Life Sciences & Health mission, under which more than 20 Dutch Life Sciences & Health companies will be making their way to Texas over the coming period. This trade mission is an ideal occasion to deepen ties, exchange knowledge, and help Dutch innovators successfully enter and expand in the U.S. market.
Sharing Insights on Market Entry
During the event, we were grateful for the opportunity to present together with JJ Amell from Amell Law on a panel. We used our slot to introduce the work of NBSO Texas, explaining how we support Dutch MedTech companies in market entry, regulatory navigation, and building U.S. networks. The panel also allowed us to discuss strategies and challenges around U.S. market entry for MedTech companies, drawing on our practical experience and local insights.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to LifeBlood for organizing such a vibrant and well-executed event. It provided a fantastic platform for meaningful connections, and we feel that our network has grown stronger as a result. We especially value occasions like this where science, business, and community come together and we look forward to continuing collaboration here in the Lone Star State.
