Dutch companies visiting NBSO office in September

Over the past month, we had the pleasure of hosting several Dutch companies at the Ion and our new NBSO Office. We caught up with representatives from SIRON Drydeluge Testing, GEMCO International, PON and Bike Houston, and Fugro.

PON is a global group of brands that provides the best bikes in each market segment – from off-road downhill racing to urban cargo bikes. They also provide bicycle mobility services. In Houston, Pon collaborates with Bike Houston to transform Houston into a city where anyone can safely and easily get around by bike.

SIRON Drydeluge Testing is looking into establishing a next location in the US, hopefully in Houston! Deluge systems, water spray systems, water mist systems, foam systems, and compressed-air-foam systems require yearly obligatory testing. This is especially challenging in a salty environment. The patented Dry Deluge Test from SIRON Fire Protection Services eliminates many of the regular problems. It uses pressurized smoke instead of sea water. Any flow problem in pipes and nozzles will be proven and can be established in an easy and cost reducing way.

Fugro is diversifying. You probably know them from geotechnical and geophysical services for the energy sector (oil & gas and offshore wind). They however also provide metocean, hydrographic, topographic and a wide variety of environmental survey and consultancy services which are relevant for climate adaptation and nature projects. NBSO was happy to introduce Fugro into our local Texas network to investigate potential pilot collaborations! Like to know more about Fugro’s climate adaptation and nature projects?
