The SSPEED Center at Rice University is organizing its 11th conference on Urban and Coastal Flooding: Building a Resilient Future on October 12 and 13, 2023. The conference will be held at the Anderson-Clarke Center (Glasscock School of Continuing Studies) at Rice University. The conference will feature top experts from around the world who will present on a number of topics with Q&A and panel discussions. Attendees will also have a chance to see a demonstration of temporary flooding solutions by Dutch Water Prevention.
The SSPEED Center at Rice University hosts its yearly international conference, ‘Urban and Coastal Flooding: Building a Resilient Future’ on 12 and 13 October. The Dutch approach to flood resilience, with speakers and live temporary flood protection demos, will feature throughout the conference.

The demonstration of temporary and integrated flood protection systems will be held throughout the conference on the parking lot next to the Anderson-Clarke Center, home to the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.
