Houston Energy & Climate Week, Houston

This is the inaugural Houston Energy & Climate Week organized by Allies in Energy. In 2020, Houston launched the science-based Houston Climate Action Plan. To mark Hurricane Harvey’s 3rd anniversary, the Office of Sustainability hosted a virtual Houston Climate Week. Subsequent years saw online Climate Weeks and explorations of other cities’ climate events (London, NY, SF). In 2024, Houston Energy & Climate Week was born to enhance energy education and climate literacy, and to bring together major cities, fostering national dialogue and actions on achieving a net-zero future and Houston’s leading role in driving solutions.
