Can you tell us something about your company?
NX Filtration is a Netherlands-based membrane technology company focused on advanced water and wastewater treatment. Our hollow fiber nanofiltration (HFNF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes help remove contaminants while enabling more sustainable treatment processes with reduced chemical and energy consumption. We serve municipal and industrial markets, including drinking water, water reuse, industrial wastewater, food & beverage, and other applications where high-quality water and reuse are increasingly important.
Why did your company choose Texas?
Texas is an important market for NX Filtration because of its rapid population and industrial growth, increasing water scarcity, and strong focus on water reuse and alternative water supplies. The state also has a large concentration of engineering firms, utilities, industrial companies, and technology partners. Establishing a presence in Texas allows us to work closely with customers and partners while supporting projects throughout Texas and the broader North American market.
What advice can you give Dutch entrepreneurs who want to do business in Texas?
Invest time in building relationships and being present in the market. Texas is very relationship-driven, and customers value local presence, responsiveness, and face-to-face interaction. Networking through industry associations, conferences, and local partners is very important. Dutch companies should also recognize the size and diversity of Texas – it is not one single market, and different industries and regions can require different approaches. Be patient, follow up consistently and demonstrate your technology through local references, pilots, and partnerships whenever possible.
