Strong Dutch Presence at OTC in Houston with Focus on Energy Transition and Smarter Working at Sea

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston once again proved to be a vital hub for global energy professionals and the Netherlands was front and center. In collaboration with NMT-IRO, NBSO Texas proudly co-organized a vibrant networking reception at The Grove, bringing together over 150 Dutch and international participants. The evening featured welcoming remarks by Bart van Bolhuis, Head of the Economic Department at the Netherlands Embassy in DC, and Marc Heine, Chair of NMT-IRO, underscoring the strength and ambition of the Dutch offshore and maritime sector.

The following morning kicked off with a well-attended Round Table on ‘Smarter Working at Sea’, where Dutch and international industry leaders engaged in high-level discussions on innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in offshore operations. The session highlighted the importance of collaboration and new technologies in navigating the evolving offshore landscape.

Throughout the week, the Netherlands Pavilion, hosted by NMT-IRO under the banner “Let’s Accelerate the Energy Transition Together,” served as a dynamic platform for showcasing Dutch solutions and expertise in offshore energy. Drawing on centuries of maritime know-how and showcasing the latest subsea innovations, the Pavilion again showed the Netherlands’ hands-on commitment to tackling global energy challenges.

We thank all partners and participants for making this such a successful edition. We look forward to continuing the momentum and welcome y’all back in Texas soon!
